Active principles: It mainly contains homogeneous polysaccharides 75, sulfoxides 2.3, mineral salts 2 and triterpene saponins 0.07icas (0.07%)
Properties: Hypotensive, vasodilator, lipid-lowering, blood fluidifying, hypoglycemic, antibiotic, antiseptic, fungicide, immunostimulant, diuretic, digestive, depurative, expectorant, vermifuge.
Mechanism of action: Garlic interacts with the enzyme that controls cholesterol production, reducing cholesterol synthesis in the body. Allicin, its main asset, inhibits the formation of clots, activity resulting from platelet aggregation and fibrin activity, makes blood vessels more elastic, also healing arteriosclerosis. Its hypotensive effect is produced by the vasodilation of the peripheral vessels, especially the legs, eyes and brain; reduces glucose levels in diabetics and decreases the chances of a second heart attack in people who have already had one. It favors the elimination of liquids, promotes digestion and stimulates the liver, gallbladder and pancreas. It improves the immune system, thus strengthening resistance against infections.
Indications: Respiratory tract conditions, atherosclerosis, hardening of the blood vessels, hypertension, parasites, skin diseases, acne, joint diseases, arthritis, rheumatism, circulatory diseases, varicose veins, phlebitis, etc.s, etc).
